With a sharp single passed up the first base line against the Orioles last
night, Jeter broke a record that has been standing since April, 1939. He
now stands alone as the all-time leading hitter in New York Yankees
history.

Jeter has been & always will be the ultimate professional baseball player.
He will play for the Yankees until his career is over, & he may or may not pass Rose on most hits ever, but it doesn't matter, WE ALL have the pleasure of watching one of the best who ever played the game..:cool:
