This video more or less restored my faith in Metallica. - youngthrasher9 - 07-02-2014 Sure, their energy isn't great, but they're fucking rich and in their 50's with absolutely nothing to prove. RE: This video more or less restored my faith in Metallica. - Agileguy - 07-03-2014 I would be very surprised if Metallica ever did anything that made me regain faith in them. I listened to that new song of theirs - I could only get like a minute, maybe a minute 30 in. I've heard live versions where he doesn't even play double bass, that's just pathetic. Just for shits and giggles I put on battery. All's well and good during the intro but once the main part of the song kicks in it's FUCKING TERRIBLE. I don't know how you can do that song without double bass. And was it just me or was his double bass work on the OP video rather sloppy? RE: This video more or less restored my faith in Metallica. - CTN - 07-04-2014 Men their live performances have always been their greatest strength. I'm glad hetfield isn't yodeling as much nowadays but yeah I have virtually no faith in them ever writing good songs again that are kickass, original new material that doesn't just rehash the same old cliches from all their previous albums into a messy hodgepodge of riffs and ideas hastily glued together by a 3year old in pro tools.
