... can really piss me off sometimes.

It's like, whenever they come out with something, it's always just short of perfect.

Example: I can't afford the amp I really want. Nothing new. (Mesa MkIV or V).

Well, Bugera is getting ready to release a MkIV clone called The Magician. If I saved and sold some stuff I could probably buy a new one. Come to find out, it's only gonna be made in combo form. I fucking hate combo's for anything with high gain, and I really don't need to carry it either. The solution is simple, build a head box, but that requires extra time and money. It's bullshit, when the majority of people want it head form anyway.

/rant over.

TBH, if it weren't for money and time, I could probably build a better box than Bugera, I have the tools.

I have no desire to own an amp head.

You're the exception.

There's just something about having a dangerous ball of electricity on top of a large stack of sonic warheads that's just so much fun.

My stack is six foot seven. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Apparently there are other folks who agree with me. Combos are readily available.

False generalization.

Plus, apparently Bugera's market research did not support your desires.

No doubt. My point is, it's dumb to not offer both.

save up and look out for a used mesa duder.

they can be had for about $1000 if you're patient.

You don't want to be schlepping around a MarkIV combo - its like a small chunk of lead. I'd bet mine was 75 or 80 pounds and its the Celestion version. 45 pounds is way more manageable.

However the Boogie Combo is a great form factor.

I'd much rather have a head box and a Thiele with an EV.

Heck - later on this year I'm putting my power amp in its own rack - its awkward to move it around to work on it.

I want more stacks

Yeah, I've seen some Mark IV's go for around $1000. I'd love to get one, but I think if I'm dropping that much coin I'd probably just save a bit more and get a V.
