For example i thought with the skull area i could actually route out a cavity thats the basic shape of the skull then i will cut the timber out and carve it and glue it in once i am happy. I will only get one chance at the cracks on the body but i imagine that wont be too hard anyways. I need to get to my wood working guild which i dread. If my carvin had of sold i could have got a thicknesser and bandsaw. FUCK my life :pissed: haha RE: The shinobi build plans. - kinnikuman - 12-01-2014 I decided to rework my plans into an artistic impression of what i am hoping for. I thought it was a bit unbalanced so i added the bottom jaw and part of the top of the skull. ![]() I have the truss rod in, next i need to thickness down the fretboard and decide on what timber to get for the body and bamboo horns. I am thinking about alternate inlay ideas for the 12th fret. So if anyone has any let me know. The bamboo that comes in from the back will come in on angles but the ones that come out near the neck wont. I am hoping ha is i can get the angles flat enough it wont mater that the straighten out. I guess i wont really know until i am looking at it. RE: The shinobi build plans. - CTN - 12-01-2014 what killed mr. skully there? perhaps the answer to that question could serve as inspiration for the inlay. No it would have to be two, I dont think i have what it takes to do an awesome inlay. In other words its going to have to be round in shape :monkey: RE: The shinobi build plans. - Big Flannel - 12-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 02:27 PM)kinnikuman Wrote: No it would have to be two, I dont think i have what it takes to do an awesome inlay.
