JB w/ hex poles & an RCA3 - CTN - 11-03-2014

Trying this in my Polaris cuz I got kinda tired of the extremely squishy bottom end of the RCA5.

I'm still waiting for the pickup to settle in with the new magnet, but I'm expecting much of the same sorta tone, but cleaner, tighter, crunchier.

updates to follow.

*shrug* I've always been able to hear significant differences in feel and EQ.

Jammed with it a little bit last night. Sounds great. Much like I said, cleaner, tighter, and a bit crunchier, but I wanna leave it in a day or two more before making the final verdict.

So this is a bridge wind with hex poles and RCA3 in the neck position?

Bridge position yo.

There is no neck wind for the JB, unless maybe you count the Jazz.

Also I have a verdict.
Everything but the lows sounds fantastic. No ugly spikes just open, crunchy mids and sweet cutting highs. The lows aren't as well defined as I'd like. I'm not sure if that's because of the magnet or the wind, cuz my custom rca3 tracks super tight and defined in the lows.

I'm going to try a polished a3 or a4 next string change, and if that also fails, I'm just gonna get rid of the JB and get a full shred instead.
