The media could have alot of fun goading TO... "So, TO, how do you feel knowing that your team doesn't think you can handle the load at WR by yourself?"

yeah I'm sure they will try that. He should wear his Urkel outfit to deflect those types of questions

From what I saw of the game against Arizona, it looked like Romo saw double coverage on Owens and decided to throw elsewhere. Larry Fitzgerald is the same size as T.O. and Warner was firing the ball at him and he would make the play. Owens can do the same thing. He can out muscle defensive backs for the ball. Or throw it deep and let him run it down. If Romo is going to wait for him to be wide open, he's going to continue to get 4 catches a game.

Romo was running for his life and getting hit every play. That needs to stop or there will be no passing game no matter who they line up.

But, this wasn't the first game Owens wasn't getting the ball. There's lots of speculation on Romo because he doesn't act like he used to. Something's in his head.

I would have loved Gonzalez here... considering the Eagles TE corps is a bunch of pussies

There is a difference between TO and Fitz... 10 years. When does that start making a difference? I can't say I've watched TO much this year so far, so I dont know, but is he not doing it because he can't anymore?

NFL Talk - 2008 - Prog - 10-14-2008

TO may have lost a step, but he's still can catch. You've got to throw it to him and let him make the play. He's not dropping good passes and from what I've seen, he'll go for the ball. Streaking down the sideline for the hail mary might be in TO's past. But going up for the ball against defenders is still well within his abiliites.

The bulk of the Cowboys passing yards against Arizona was a dump to Barber that went for 70 yards. And if the pass blocking sucks, three step drop and fire on the slant route.

NFL Talk - 2008 - EaglesSuck - 10-15-2008

I've watched every down this year and TO isn't as physical of a receiver as you'd think. I think his skills have diminished. The speed is still there but he struggles to get off the line. On top of that he's never been one with great hands. He drops a lot of balls and isn't the type of receiver like Fitz is to get up and get a jump ball. I think Williams gives them that on the other side. I still don't like the trade because I don't think it addresses the real problem which is the O line and a very average defense. Jerry is desperate and this was a desperate move.

Also, they said the boys & Williams have agreed on a 5 year extension. So it's no like he's going to be a free agent after the season. But I still don't like the deal because I don't think you just plug a guy in and fixes everything right now. Long term it "might" a good deal because he will eventually be the primary guy.

There was an interesting conspiracy theory floated yesterday.

Jerry Jones did nothing to Pacman to force Goodell to suspend him.

When Goodell laid down the suspension, this voided part of the deal the Cowboys had made with the Titans. So, Dallas got their 2009 first round draft pick back.

Which, they traded the next day to Detroit for Roy Williams, someone they've been after for a couple of years.

Jerry Jones is a lot of things, dumb ain't one of them.
