I don't totally agree with Mike McCarthy being on the shitty list. They'd still be playing shitty with Favre at the helm, their defense just blows goats this year...well, the offense too.

It's a tabloid piece designed to get people talking and get the authors name out there.

And by the way, we're only halfway thru the season.

NFL Talk - 2008 - EaglesSuck - 11-16-2008

this is it for the Cowboys tonight, imho. Win and I think they have a chance at the playoffs. If they lose it's over and I'm starting my xmas shopping early. Can Romo save their season? Will he be enough to get them over the edge???? We'll find out in a few hours. Getting a win in Washington is not easy. Captain Kangaroo is coaching for a job next season tonight.

I don't think there are many betting guys in here, but how shady was the end of the Pittsburgh game? Since the game was officially over, was there any need to review that play OTHER than to take points off the board so the Steelers wouldn't cover?

Calling off that touchdown saved legal bookies $64M in payouts. Think about it. If this was the NBA people would be calling for a congressional investigation.

There's a weak argument for the point differential tie breaker. It's way down the list, but it could be a reason.

McNabb has been in the league how many years and didn't know games can end on a tie?

I'm not defending McNabb here, but I don't think many players know that for some reason. Almost every Eagle player that was interviewed didn't know that was the case. If they did, they just found out by asking one of the assistants on the sideline. I remember back at the last Eagles tie, Irving Fryar was on the team and had a talk show at the time. He said the same thing, he and the other players on the team thought they went out and played another OT period. Vaughn Hebron does a local post-game show here, and he didn't know the rule either.

I think the players just know how to count their money.

I don't get it. I think I figured it out when I was 8 and the standings in the newspaper said W-L-T. Just one of those things I would think you would learn even if you never read the rulebook.

The guy on the radio here (just some crappy rock station, not a sports show) was just talking about that, he also mentioned that the refs came back today and said they made a mistake with that call.

I was in N.O. for Emerils annual fund raiser & met Archie Manning this weekend. There is a very good chance his boys could be playing in Tampa, & he thinks the same. How cool would that be?huge grin
