Sure, charging extra is discriminating, but default characters are just that.
I just downloaded a free game for the PS3 and chose a female character. yippee!
Of course now I'm mad that the default character on Tomb Raider is female and looks like Angelina Jolie.

It never has occurred to me that I should be offended because a game character did not fit a stereotype that I prefer. I either like the game or not. If the former, I play it. When I'm playing there is absolutely NO thought regarding what my imaginary character looks like.
Next we'll have to sue for better imaginary friends.

You don't see me whining because there are not enough black characters. Playing a game is role play you take on the persona of the character. I played 5 GTAs before I got a black character.

It doesn't matter to me. When I play a game I am controlling a character. It could be a troll, donkey kong, a mafioso or a woman. It doesn't matter I am interacting with a story.
