Endangered Woods List? - Snake Aces - 06-27-2015 Does anyone know where I can find reliable information regarding the scarcity of species of woods commonly used in electric guitars? I am searching for this information and I get so many different sites with conflicting information. I am curious how scarce woods like wenge, Indian rosewood and ebony are becoming specifically (before I order a neck). I am still kicking myself for not ordering a Brazilian rosewood neck when I had the chance. I remember a couple of articles about it, but I had no reason to keep a list. Falbo might know. For awhile there was even the threat of losing an instrument upon return that you took with you. I think Congress closed that loophole. Now it's supposed to be import only.
