These days, it's considered about as archaic!
That said, in this day of paddle shifters, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls, and backup-sensored hybrids, there's something gloriously visceral about a carbureted 462ci (7.5L) V8, a 4 speed, no A/C, no power brakes, no stereo, and window cranks.

I retired my 78 Triumph last year. Straight six-2 1/2 litre, Twin Carbies, 5 speed manual, with OD on 3rd and 4 th. LSD , independent rear suspension. Windows that can be wound down. It does have power assisted steering.
It was getting too hard to find parts for it and not worth spending $$$ on it.

I still have it but it's not registered so I can't take it on the roads. It needs some work anyway. The motor was clagging out.
