So Baroness is finally releasing a new album. They're among my favorite newer bands, and if this song is any indication of the quality of the full album, it make be one of the best releases of the year.
I've not been this excited for a new album in a very long time. I even preordered the marbled purple vinyl. Oh yeah.

I understand this comment should be filed under Comments I Should Keep To Myself, but I really hope the Purple Album is a return to the sounds of Red and Blue. Based on this, I'm hopeful.

I think it's going to be a mix. I thought Chlorine and Wine was sludgy in a very similar way to Eula, which is one of my favorite Baroness songs so I automatically loved it. But John has said before that he's not able to do the screaming/yelling vocals he did in the early days up through Red and Blue so I don't know how similar they'll end up sounding.

That's fine. The vocals were by far the worst element of Red and Blue.
