Preemptive NGD (Vintage MIJ content) - Agileguy - 10-03-2015

I really need to stop going to guitar center to "not buy anything."

1985 Ibanez PR1550. It looks to be all stock and even comes with the trem arm. I'd say it's in 8.5 condition. It plays and sounds like a mofo, and here's the kicker...

It only cost $250.

I have to sell my 62RI to buy it, but it's so worth it. I haven't fallen this hard for a guitar in years.

October 26th is going to be a great day.

Hey Frank and Chris, what can you tell me about this guitar? It seems like they weren't made for very long, just a year or so.

I know nothing about it. The body looks like a Roadstar. If that is anything like the one I have, it weighs a ton.

Love the maple board.

Congrats!

I think the Pro Line and Roadstars had the same body shape. Personally, I love it - it hangs like a strat but looks just a bit more modern.

Modern?  From something that was made way before you came into existence...  Does not compute! :toast:

Modern compared to a guitar that was made way before you came into existence. :)

I'd love to have a few that were made before I came into existence. I do own a couple of amps from that golden era.

I felt the same way in the 80s. Strats were dated looking compared to Jacksons.
