RE: Vintage amp restoration. - GoldenVulture - 11-28-2016 4,5 and 9 . It'll be a 12AX7. That's wired for a 6CG7 which is what my Vase uses. Any how , I've fixed it.
RE: Vintage amp restoration. - karpathion - 11-28-2016 My bad, I meant 4 and 5. I see it now. Hell, I probably would have done the same thing. RE: Vintage amp restoration. - GoldenVulture - 11-28-2016 I was refering to the heater schematic of my amp on how it did the KT's and the phase splitter, except I forgot to tell myself ignore the phase splitter as it's a different valve. I'm refering to a couple of circuits overall but the power amp is basically the 2203 Kerry King. RE: Vintage amp restoration. - Securb - 12-01-2016 That amp is coming along nicely. RE: Vintage amp restoration. - karpathion - 12-07-2016 I haven't felt the earth shake yet. Must not be done yet... RE: Vintage amp restoration. - GoldenVulture - 12-07-2016 Slowly but surely. That's only the power amp parts so far. There's still pre amps to do. Then there's wiring. I've got a lot of other stuff to do so this isn't getting major attention. I'm doing it where I can fit it in. I've been fucking around with my Framus and a Warmoth neck I got for it, some time back. Re-doing the neck mounts and bridge positioning. That motor finished yet ? RE: Vintage amp restoration. - karpathion - 12-07-2016 Almost. It's a slow expensive process. RE: Vintage amp restoration. - karpathion - 12-10-2016 I thought for a moment that, "The Divine Monstrosity," was done. Then I realized that it was my kid farting, and the mic picked it up. I though 57's were unidirectional, condenser mics? I even picked up the headboard resonating. If you don't like that amp, I'll trade you a Randall RM-50, with 2 very cool.modules for it. You can pay that crazy ass AZ tax for shipping though... |
