Aerosmith back together
#1
Aerosmith announced European tour dates, summer US dates will probably follow. This makes them the Brett Favre of rock n roll.

They had a couple of good albums since '79. Some good tracks on:

Permanent Vacation
Get a Grip (Livin on the Edge is a great track)
Honkin' on Bobo is awesome

Honkin on Bobo is a cover album those songs were great decades before Aerosmith touched them. Permanant Vacation and Get A Grip have some great songs, but forgetable songs. The last Smith album that was wall to wall packed with great songs was Night In The Ruts - 1979.

You would expect me to say Done with Mirrors seeing that is the release they had when I was working for them (yes I worked for Aerosmith). Belive it or not I dont even own a copy of the record.

just because it's a cover album doesn't mean it isn't great. it's not like a Greatest Hits album or something.

True there are some great cover albums like Bowie's Pin Ups made by major artists. Still I think it is phoning it in. It has been almost 10 years since they have put out an original album. Lazy.
