The Brett Favre Thread
Did anyone else see the clip of Brett getting hit in the nuts with a football during yesterdays practice? I think his wife threw that one.

Nope we dont get the Btrett coverage that you guys get in WI.

Check this out - Chris Mortensen reports that Sterger hasn't decided whether she will cooperate with the NFL's investigation into the matter, which Mortensen interprets as very good news for Favre.

That sucks, I hope the other women will come through and cooperate. Even if he doesn't face any repercussions from the NFL, he's done real damage to his image.

After a weekend in which the pervasive presence of Wrangler commercials featuring Brett Favre raised eyebrows in light of the tawdry off-field tale of potential sexual harassment that dominated the headlines on October 9 and 10, the folks who make the only jeans Favre wears when throwing interceptions on the sandlot yanked the commercials from Sunday's NFL broadcasts.

According to Darren Rovell of CNBC, the Favre spot ran yesterday only 10 times -- and only on niche channels. During NFL broadcasts, Wrangler commercials featured Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

The folks at Wrangler previously had taken a wait-and-see approach regarding Favre. Apparently, they waited long enough to see something that caused them to change their stance.

It could be that the news the league will meet with Favre on Tuesday triggered the change. Or, possibly, the folks at Wrangler are suspicious that the lack of cooperation (to date) from the woman at the center of the controversy resulted from a transfer of a sizable chunk of Favre's Wrangler money.

Brett Favre admitted sending voice messages, but denied forwarding lewd photographs to former Jets in-house reporter Jenn Sterger, FOX Sports senior writer Jay Glazer reported Sunday.

Can anyone take anything he says seriously? Seems like only last year he proclaimed he wasn't ever playing football again, he was retired. LOL

I bet now the NFL will make a ruling on his cock shots.

Brett Favre inactive, NFL record streak ends

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...reak-ends/

Brett Favre is inactive for the Vikings’ Monday night game against the Giants, bringing to an end his NFL-record streak of 297 consecutive starts.

Favre suffered a shoulder injury eight days ago when he was hit by Bills linebacker Arthur Moats, and he’s not ready to return. Although the Vikings were still holding out hope today that he could play, Favre’s shoulder was hurting badly enough that he never even took the field for pregame warmups.

Favre’s streak began in 1992, when he replaced an injured Don Majkowski for the Green Bay Packers. He kept playing every week for seven years until he had surpassed Ron Jaworski’s record for consecutive starts by a quarterback, then kept playing every week for another decade until he had surpassed Jim Marshall’s record for the most consecutive starts by any player at any position. He kept playing every week in Green Bay, in New York and in Minnesota. Until now.

Tarvaris Jackson will start for the Vikings tonight against the Giants.

The question now is whether Favre’s NFL career has come to an end. It’s possible that Favre’s shoulder will continue to bother him for the next three weeks, and that he won’t be able to return this season. Favre insists that he’s retiring after this season, and that unlike his past retirement announcements, he really means it this time.
