My wife goes nuts for great rings. I found the Long John Slivers batter recipe online and use that for rings.

Hmm...

In addition... for some reason I have a craving for fried okra.

Fried okra, always a winner! Hell, I'd eat fried popcorn or even fried peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. If I can eat it I would like it fried. This, my friends, is why I only fry food once every 1 or 2 months. If I didn't I would have had a heart attack 10 years ago.

The State Fair is currently going on, everything and anything you'd like deep fried. The cheese curds are supposed to be great.

I was just investigating procuring curds for poutine and this is something else they sell there http://goldenagecheese.com/product/chedd...ter-mix-2/ looked like fun

That sounds good, I'm sure there's something similar around here in stores.

I just bought some curds yesterday, they're good but not very fresh. I think I'll have to hit up one of the cheese stores to get the good, squeaky ones.
