Here’s the Scathing Critic That Has Kanye Really, Really Pissed

It’s no news that Kanye West is one of the most controversial figures in the public eye. Every move he makes generates a whirlwind of polarized reactions – akin to a certain pinhead Rebublican candidate with the bad toupee – which hardly ever land in neutral territory (except for the Swiss, maybe). The guy is incessantly subject to criticism, and to be fair, he warrants it. While there are thousands, no, millions of comments being made about Yeezy on the regular, there is one fellow who has managed to hit quite a nerve on the hot-headed rapper as of late.
Meet Bob Ezrin. A seasoned music producer and keyboardist, Ezrin has a pretty impressive list of artist collaborations on his CV: Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and Phish, among many others. Recently, the veteran rock producer wrote an open letter for music analyst Bob Lefsetz’s The Lefsetz Letter where we found out that he’s a fan of NWA, Grandmaster Flash, Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar. But a fan of Kanye West he is certainly not.
In the letter, Ezrin took the opportunity to fire several shots at Kanye, calling out his “sophomoric” songwriting skills, “egomaniacal tantrums” and downplaying the emcee’s musical legacy. But that’s really just the tip of the iceberg.
It didn’t take too long for ‘Ye to take notice, however. And, just like any other mature, level-minded human being would do, the rapper went on a Twitter tirade (surprise, surprise), calling Ezrin everything from old and irrelevant, to being an embarrassment to his children – yes, he brought kids into the mix again.
So there you have it. Another day, another Kanye feud. We’ll keep you posted if anything else springs up, and knowing K-dog, it’s bound to.
