#11
This is gonna be so cool, man. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Once I free up some cash, I'm gonna do up one of those cyclones like I posted. I'll need your help picking hardware lol.

[Image: SquireCV60sStrat010.jpg][Image: SquireCV60sStrat009.jpg][Image: SquireCV60sStrat008.jpg] It is a MIC of all things , would say even at $260 I overpaid. No idea why you folks are so in love with the CV series, but after I finish it will be nice enough to take out in public and play.

Started taking it apart before I even took the first pics , straplocks gone and strings are loose. On the way to the garage for refinishing the neck , will bring it in after neck is done rewire and then a full setup.

Found wood [Image: Squierneckjob001.jpg] Incredible amount of dust for one neck [Image: Squierneckjob002.jpg]Much sanding later [Image: Squierneckjob005.jpg] Lok at the dowel where they screwed up the straplock [Image: Squierneckjob008.jpg] Tung Oiled !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![Image: Squierneckjob009.jpg] ooooh [Image: Squierneckjob015.jpg]Really a mess [Image: Squierneckjob016.jpg]

And yes I left a little bit of the finish around the headstock and it looks weird!!!! Who needs some work done I got to find money for pickups! Oh yeah the pups say Fender on them but I barely made sounds with it.

Last 2 pics of the neck it is oiled ,there are little captions by each pic even. I was trying to get the shine off it in the picture with the light and flash. Just waiting for this afternoon to scrub it down and sand it up.I Tung Oil all my guitar necks , usually the day I get them.

Not going to get it up and running today but I am reaming out the holes for the PW Tuners to 10mm. Already assaulted the nut and broke off the little back piece off the fretboard. Seems like they really like glue at the factory that thing was seriously in there.
