Its nice to see an officiating mistake determine the result of an NFL game... a mistake that was actually admitted to by the official on the PA system. Disgraceful.

With less than a minute left in the game, down by 7, Denver has the ball around the San Diego 10. Cutler drops back, rolls out,and with no defender even near him, fumbles the ball as he cocks back to throw. A Charger defender recovers the ball and runs out of bounds... but it didn't matter, the play was blown dead when the ball hit the ground, the officials thought it was an incomplete pass and blew the whistle, ending the play. They realized it was a fumble, but since the whistle was blown, the play was over before the Chargers recovered it and Denver got the ball back at the spot of the fumble. When Hoculi made the PA announcement, he said that the whistle was mistakenly blown... or something along those lines.

The Broncos then scored and converted 2-points to win.

That Chargers/Broncos game was a disgrace. Cutler fumbled plain & simple. If the refs made the right call game over. The NFL should be ashamed. The officiating is a joke.

Packer fans are probably feeling much better about their QB situation. I think they are better off w/o Favre and they are becoming a scary team.

right, once the mistake was made, they went about it the right way... the problem is that the mistake was made in the first place.

I didn't see the fisrt 3 quarters of the game, but just read that there was "technical diffculties" with the replay equipment earlier in the game where replay could not be used, but would have given the Chargers another TD. Thats a double screwing with no lube.
