Floyd Blocks
#1
So what's the current opinion on the best Floyd block material?

I've got a Brass Floyd branded heavy block ready to install.

Was looking at the the thing and thought I might be able to do a steel one easily and a bell bronze if I can find a piece of material. A metal cutting chop saw should suffice.

There's different brass alloys too - got to be sure not to get a leaded alloy.

Not too interested in Titanium or Aluminum (Which IMO sucks on my Strats).

Only have brass but Titanium is said to be more musical , I have a chunk but haven't gotten around to trying to make it into a block.Heck they make them out of stone now I have no clue? The ones I have are Bell Brass no idea on the actual metal content.
