Fortune tellers and Mystics tell us that tarot cards have been used throughout the ages for divination, but have they really? And what are the origins of tarot cards?
If you're curious to find out, then take some time to read the latest 'De-Mystifying the Mystic' article currently running on the
TMRZoo Homepage.

Obviously Tarot cards are not real but that does not change the fact that millions of people believe in them. People are superstitious. Take a look at the mystic of religion. Millions of people live their lives according to religion but that still doesn't make what they believe to be true. The point is they believe it and at the end of the day the power of belief in the subconscious mind is more powerful than anything else to a believer as they can use it according to things like "the law of attraction" to justify or convince themselves it's real.
I appreciate the demystifying the mystic articles you've been working on though. They are entertaining.

Exactly my point though. Perception is a powerful thing as well, what you see as a system of truths some other people see it as superstition. Tarot cards and religion are both, at the end of the day, a set of superstitious beliefs (to the unbelievers of both). I am not trying to ruffle your feathers, just making an observation.

Cheers, that's really the object I've had in mind as I've been doing them.
While I do take some jabs at the different things I've presented, I try to do so lightly to keep from being acidic, especially since the reality behind the stuff is a much bigger smack down than anything I could write.
