After going most of my life cooking on a propane grill, I finally have a smoker, and I'm going to pick up a weber grill as soon as I find one at a good price.
I made a few different things today. I started off with bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers (with fresh ranch) that were so good I ateate 7, and could easily have had more.

After that, I cooked up a ton of chicken breasts that had been marinating for about 24 hours. Since I'm carb free right now, I make all of my lunches (just salad for now) over the weekend so I'm not tempted to go out and eat. I did it last week and lost 10lbs, but salad for lunch every day is difficult. Having good chicken makes it a little easier. And holy shit is this good chicken. It almost tastes underdone even though there's not any pink.
Now I just can't wait to start actually smoking. I have a ton of different chips that I want to use - the Jack Daniels barrel chips sound particularly awesome.
Fuck propane, charcoal is the reason to grill.
