In that situation you're not wrong for not washing your hands. In the famous words of George Carlin, "I know where my dick has been". Paraphrased, but you get the point.

I get totally disgusted at work when i see people leave the bathroom without washing their hands. I never touch the door handle. I always hit the handicap button with my elbow on the way out so the door is open before I even get to it.
