I haven't played GH3 and I don't own a PS3 or 360 (yeah, I know it's also on PS2). There was a local contest a while back where some 12 year old impressed people with "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce. I have the first two games. They were fun and challenging. It was a struggle, but I eventually got through every song, at least on the medium difficulty. But, as an average player, what is the fun with this song or similar? There is no way I could ever get through it. This series started as fun and a great party game. Now, the focus seems to be on finding songs that will eliminate 3/4 of the audience. Nothing wrong with making a game challenging, but going for the uber-player who spends 8 hours a day playing video games doesn't seem the way to go.
Will it blend? That is the question.
