Has Guitar Hero gone too far?

Turning the question around though... would you buy the game if it was just the easy and medium levels? Thats all I really played, and it was alot of fun, but if that was the entire game you'd like it and still pay the same amount for it as you would with the additional 2 levels on it.

No. I have no problem with a game being hard. If I need a few dozen tries to get through a final level or two, that's fine. But, look at the DragonForce video. There's no way. I understand it's an extra song, but what's the point of it being there. And, it's getting in these games where the last tier on hard is nearly impossible for an average player to beat. I'll work for it if I feel the need to beat the game. I don't fool with the extreme difficulty (or All-Madden on that game). Nothing wrong with having a level for the better players. In this case, Guitar Hero has lost the early focus on being a fun game with cool songs.
