I never appreciated Elton John until the video of him doing a duet on Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me with George Michael. (I'll skip the puns and crack remarks for now.)
George Michael is a very solid singer (I'm not a fan, but I appreciate a great talent - especially ever since he did the Queen/Mercury tribute at Wembley and he was one of only two performers who had perfect pitch. Lisa Stansfield was the other.)
George Michael started the song with Elton and sounded excellent. About halfway through Elton comes on and Elton's voice had even twice the power of George Michael - the volume and tone he threw out just blew George Michael's performance off the stage.
