I use paprika to control heat for some dishes.
It doesn't take it away, but it prevents you from getting that awful acidic burn in your throat that leaves an awful aftertaste.
maybe add a spoonful or two of plain yougurt to the mix.
It'll add moisture and round the heat a bit.
