Anyone ever messed with a replacement OT?

I had to replace the OT in my Bassman, but the whole amp was also gutted at the same time, so I can't say how much of a difference it makes. Most of the time what I hear is that it affects the feel of the amp more than affecting any frequency in particular. Though a larger OT definitely affects the low end response.
