The wire in that is so fine I didn't try to unwind it. I removed the tape but the sticky goo from the tape was still holding the wire firmly so I abandoned unwinding it as I feared it may break easily. As you can see in the pics I've added two short wires [ 16Amp fuse wire to be exact ]. The coil wires are soldered to them. They are super glued from the eyelet end to stop any movement breaking the coil wire where it is soldered. If you put a cover on it, modify it so that the bottom edge does NOT go all the way down and interfere with the coil wires where they come from the coil.[IOW: so it doesn't break them ]:old:

It looks like there's little solder blobs. It's not , it's the light reflecting in the superglue.

PS: That screw on the pole was on there when I recieved the pup. I left it there so I didn't lose it.
