8-9 years ago I had to go on a job search and nothing.
All I kept hearing was 'Oh, we already have a chef to run the kitchen.'
So I chopped my resume down, threw in a couple of spelling mistakes and had a job in a week.
I don't think HR or management like it when you're more qualified then them.
In the end I said fuck it and went back to work for the military.
The bonus with them is that the people in charge are so full of themselves they never pay attention to anything that doesn't benefit them directly, so over qualified went right past them.
