So we just make do and hope it stays in tune during the song.
I had a go with the Hipshot vibrato - it was a nice enough bridge (with ball bearings), and you're supposed to be able to use the stock bushings. Never would stay in tune.
I'm using an American Standard plate & saddles with Callaham block (Originally had a bridge with a huge bar)- it changed the tone, but not in an unpleasant way. The old style bar just feels right to me.
