I got the EVH bug out of my system when I was about your age. Gotta do it - one thing interesting is I felt part of that texture is a 9 gauge string set tuned down.
A 50 watt Marshall is still brutally loud at 8db attenuation! I've got a 100 watt metalface sitting in the closet.
