Vintage Drums Restoration? Any Experience?
#3
Well that was quick... he answered right away...

Quote:SWEET!! I guess I would say to first get a new set of heads. Go to dollar store. Buy a squirt bottle of either Purple Power or Awsome cleaner. Spray the shells. Wipe them clean. Go to Autozone. Buy a can of NeverDull chrome cleaner. Stuff works amazingly well! Clean up the chrome. When thats all done, put the new heads on. They actually dont look to be in that bad of shape. The cleaner should rid them of the smell as well.

The NeverDull will polish all the chrome. The rack system as well.

Takes some elbow grease to use it. [emoji16]

Hope that works. Great set to bring back to life!

BTW, he can buy a chrome Pearl snare drum for under $100.00.
You do the best you can with what you have to work with
