I had a storm pass by last night. The power dropped out and back again. My mixing desk didn't like that at all and died.
I've had it for over ten years so I figured it's time for a new one.
The old one is a Behringer 1622 Fx. I've stayed with behringer and upgraded to a current X2222 USB.
They seem to offer the best for the price. [ Just bought it online ]

Had nothing but bad luck with Behringer products but that is a lot of mixer for the price. You got 10 years out of the old one so you are way ahead of me already.

Fucking online sales ! I got a call from the store I ordered this mixer through. Out of stock till February.
Why the fuck did the ad say it was available.
This is the second or thid time I've ordered something online " instock " and they turn out to not be.
Not particularly cheap items either. One was for a camera and I was left hanging for weeks until I contacted them and was told " out of stock and don't know when it will be restocked "
This is from well established businesses
I've also persued other items " instock " until you order them. Fucking false advertising if you ask me. In each case I've been offered " some alternative shitty other item " or a refund. I just get the refund.
Back to the hunt for a mixer !

I can’t stand customer service that isn’t.
My band recently got a Presonus 16 Series 3 mixer.
Because I said so.

Nice desk, I looked at the Presonus and Yamaha and a few others. They all were either out of my price range for the features I wanted or didn't have what I was after.
I've been hunting online. Found the Behringer model I wanted on the other side of the country [ Perth ].
I rang the store to make sure they had them in stock. The guy on the phone said he had one right there in front of him, so I told him I'd go ahead and order it. He said he'd be waiting to process it. Done.
I've got the order confirmation and just have to wait for a delivery time and delivery. [ Probably about a week ]

Some of the Slider/Faders had become a bit scratchy and some the switching was getting a bit touchy and not connecting properly sometimes but overall it performed well for over ten years.
I think Behringer were a bit hit and miss back then. I used to hear a bit about behringer failures.
These days the quality seems to be a lot better.

In the meantime: I have a Behringer PA amp/Mixer that I was given, in apparent non operational state.
It had blown up, had boards replaced and still didn't work according to the person who gave it to me
[ It came from the local high school ] I'd taken it apart to check it out but hadn't got far, so yesterday I got the mixer section of it and the power supply section and plugged them up. Bingo, they work. So I now have a temporary mixer until the new one arrives. It's eight channels, stereo line in aux, stereo line out, built in FX section.
When I get my new mixer I will try the power amp board that comes with this one and see if it " doesn't work " like it was suggested. Everything else is. It is supposed to output over 350 Watts a channel [ It's stereo ].

Well that took a bit longer than I hoped but it's the Christmas period so I should've really expected this. It arrived today. All intact and plugged in and working.
I've yet to check out its USB connection but I will get to that soon. It's about the only feature that the old desk didn't have.

I put together my recording rig and hooked it up yesterday. What a nightmare Win 10 is to work with now , took hours to make it all work correctly. Wanted to record acoustical stuff with the new Fishman Loudbox Artist I bought.
