I heard he got a standing ovation @ the Linc. It was a good move for the team, as another weapon. Goodell should reinstate him right away, as he paid his debt to society. IMO

I was on vacation and not at that game and read that same headline the next day and was like WTF, that can't be true. In the first paragraph of the article it said Vick took the field during pre-game warmups in front of a few dozen fans and some of them gave him a standing ovation.

I did hear that there were cheers when he lined up with McNabb though.

The idiot fans will be calling for him after 1 bad game by McNabb. Putting both of their characters aside, if you want Vick over McNabb as your starting QB, you simply don't know football and shouldn't be allowed to watch it anymore. Yes, I'm playing the race card.:shifty:

My favorite part of my day at the Linc was after the game. We were about the last ones left in the parking lot still grilling, drinking and shooting the shit. A big black guy pulled up in a car selling bootleg Eagles gear and offered us an Eagles hat for a piece of BBQ’ed chicken. Of course we took the deal.

NFL says Vick eligible to play in 3rd game

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick(notes) is eligible to play beginning in the third game of the regular season.

Goodell met with Vick for 45 minutes Thursday before announcing his decision. Vick, recently signed by the Eagles, played in last week’s exhibition game and was expected to play against the New York Jets on Thursday night.

Previously, Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement by no later than Week 6.

Vick was released from federal custody July 20 after serving 18 months of a 23-month sentence for his role in running a dogfighting ring.

“I think he’s making real progress,” Goodell said. “I think he has a better feel for the challenges ahead of him.”

Sounds fair to me. He's already paid his debt. I would've been ok with no futher suspension. He's already not played for 2 years, what's another 2 weeks going to do to teach him a lesson?
