The Bud Light Party Cruise Port Paradise 2009 With The Dave Matthews Band
#1
video inside post Bud Light is hitting the high seas again this year. The Bud Light Party Cruise has become one of the most sought after party tickets on earth. Unlike other classic parties like Bonnaroo you can?t buy your way in. The only way to get a ticket is to enter on www.budlightportparadise.com or to enter at live Bud Light promotions.

Last year?s cruise was a bash to remember. The All American Rejects, Bare Naked Ladies and O.A.R. all rocked the stage under the clear Bahamian skies with a backdrop of endless clear blue seas.

All weekend the crew of the Royal Caribbean served up the best food and entertainment possible. The ships are like a small city with every possible type of entertainment and nightlife imaginable.

The dance club was always pumping as was the topside deck with some great parties. We hit the casino, the piano lounge and even the duty free mini mall on board.

Still one of my favorite moments on board was Saturday night chilling in a deck chair. I was floating under the star lit Bahamian skies with a Cuban cigar (they are legal in the Bahamas) in one hand and a Bud Light in the other. It was about 8 P.M. and I was resting up for the next leg of the party. It was so tranquil I made sure I took it all in so that I could have instant recall of that moment the rest of my life.

Looking at the above mention you would think this couldn?t better any better. But it can. On this 2009 cruise music will be provided by The Dave Matthews Band. The music last year was world class. That being said this writer catches The Dave Matthews Band at least once a year. Yes I am a huge DMB fan.

I can only imagine what ?Ants Marching? or ?Crazy? would sound like in the open air of the private island Coco Cay. Even better would be to sit in the sand and hear Dave do some of the stuff from the new album ?Big Whiskey & The GrooGrux King?. I am sure ?Shake Me Like A Monkey? could get the beach rocking!

So I stress go to www.budlightportparadise.com and enter and keep your ear glued to the radio for Bud Light sponsored events. Last year I hear some great winners stories I am hoping this year you will be one of them. Good Luck!

Has anyone entered to win this yet? With 4600 people going your odds are pretty good winning spot on the boat.

video inside post  I have had the honor of attending what I can only describe as the largest floating party ever thrown. Bud Light recently loaded up two Royal Caribbean cruise ships and took a small army of Bud Light faithful on a 4 day Caribbean junket.

Think of the logistics of pulling off a 5,000 person party. Now add to that multiple locations, sleeping arrangements, food and of course beer. Bud Light was able to pull it off and pull it off well. The food was over the top great and the ice cold Bud Light was flowing in it?s bright blue aluminum bottles.

Keeping 5,000 people entertained is no easy feat either. The ship?s cruise director did a great job making sure there was something for all tastes on the boat. From calypso bands to world class club DJs on the boat?s deck, the action never stopped.

As you are reading this you are probably saying to yourself ?sounds like a pretty fun time. ? Pretty fun time is an understatement because we are just scratching the surface.

Add to the for mentioned activities UFC Host and November Playboy cover girl Rachelle Leah on board along with The All American Rejects, Barenaked Ladies and OAR playing a live show on a private island and you have the makings for one of the best parties I have ever seen in my life.

These cruises are quickly becoming legendary the internet chatter around this one was pretty intense. People wanted to buy their way on the ship, it could not be done. No amount of money could get you one board; you had to win it to be in it. Think Willie Wonka?s golden ticket with beer.

Over the next few weeks I am going to touch upon different days and events of the weekend with pictures, video and a few strokes of my keyboard. Today I would like to take you to day one of the cruise and my interview with Rachelle Leah.

TMR: So Rachelle what is next with you?

Rachelle: We?ve got UFC 91 coming up I am super excited about that. Things have been crazy, I have a movie coming out in 2009 called ?The Bleeding? with Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, Armand Assante it?s an action\thriller.

TMR: That?s a heavy duty cast.

Rachelle: Yeah; it?s a great cast and I got the female lead so I am pretty stoked about that. I get to do a little ass kicking in it so it is exciting.

TMR: Did hanging and watching all of that UFC action prepare you for the fight scenes?

Rachelle: I box for workouts so physically the things I had to do were not that chalenging but choreographing the scenes is hard. Fake punching someone is difficult. The stunts were fun. Other than that I just got done hosting the UFC video game which has a huge hype around it.

TMR: Do you have a specialty move or a power move in the game?

Rachelle: No, I am actually hosting it. What I host is a special mode where it lets you unlock parts of the game. You actually have to reenact a historical fight. Instead of just having one of the fighters beat the other one up, you have to play the game as the fight actually took place. To win that level and unlock the next section of the video game. It is really challenging.

TMR: What gamming platform will the game be on?

Rachelle: UFC: Tapout 2will be available on XBOX 360 and PlaysStation 3

TMR: Thanks you so much for your time we will be watching for you in The Bleeding, UFC 91, UFC Tapout 2 and of course the November issue of Playboy.

video inside post I find myself sitting here in New Hampshire post ice storm hell thinking back to a warmer time. For those of you unfamiliar with the latest happenings in the Northeast we recently had ice storms that crippled the infrastructure of our fine state. I found myself without power, heat or water during a bitter cold New England winter for 6 miserable days. As I sat shivering in my heatless house I found myself sipping on a Bud Light thinking back to warmer times.

Just over a month ago I joined Bud Light and almost 5,000 revelers for 3 sun soaked days aboard Royal Caribbean?s Majesty of the Sea. Day Two we found ourselves docked at Nassau. At the end of the dock in the middle of paradise was a Starbucks.

I thought this would be a great place to check my email and catch up with some video blogging I was hoping to do. I settled in and banged out a great live video blog for the site only to have the internet at Starbucks to crash. It was like the vacation gods were telling me to get off my ass and go have some fun.

It seems like the people from the boats were heading to the bars and the beachs. One popular destination was Paradise Island?s Atlantis Resort. Atlantis on any given day is a people watching spectacular. They have a beautiful casino, clubs even a movie theater along with their 6 or 7 restaurants.

I would love to make this column a bit longer but all we did this afternoon was relax kick back and enjoy ice cold Bud Lights. So enjoy the video footage of day 2 and these great shots by Stephen Garnett. I will be getting back to you with day 3 and the private concert by All American Rejects, Bare Naked Ladies and OAR.

Click for full sizevideo inside post I was driving home the other day across ice coated New Hampshire. The temperature was in the single digits as they have been for months. It was pretty dismal and gray just then the DJ pops on All American Rejects ?Gives You Hell? right there I was pulled back to the Bud Light party Cruise I had the honor to board last November.

For those of you un familiar with this event Bud Light fills two ships with the Bud Light faithful and take off for 4 days and three nights of the best party you have seen in your life.

I remember Saturday night I was chilling on the upper deck. In one hand I had an ice cold Bud Light in the other hand I had a fresh Cuban cigar that I have picked up that day in Nassau. I kicked back in my deck chair and thought to myself that this is one of those moments that I never want to forget. There was a light breeze and I watched the stars float across the pitch black sky. I thought to myself it doesn?t get better than this. O? I was so wrong.

The weekend just kept getting better and better. Every time you thought it doesn?t get better than this, it did. Sunday morning we grabbed a little breakfast and headed over to the private island Coca Cay.

My day on Coco Cay was legendary. I find myself on a private island watching the Bare Naked Ladies and O.A.R. with Playboy?s cover girl for November Rachelle Leah and The All American Rejects.

A little later in the day The All American Rejects hit the stage with a sonic fury. They were blasting some songs for their upcoming album and playing fan favorites like ?Dirty Little Secret? As the band was belting out some no holds barred rock, there are models doing photo shoots on the beach. Everywhere my head turns there is something going on.

The grills were sizzling with food, the beer stations full of iced down Bud Light and girls are dancing all over the beach in bikinis. I could drone on and on about how cool the day was but I think it would be easier to show you with this video.

Cheers!
