All of y'all looked at this and no one listened to it ? No critique , gee whiz ? BTW that is straight into Audacity live and exported as an MP3 without any mixing.

Sorry, I was "working." Sounds like the interface is interfacing in a satisfactory manner. You're getting pretty good tones, given that you did that all off-board. Nice track!

Got your SoundCloud streaming in the background now while I get "back" to "work."

I try and do everything live here and at the jam room , have no clue how to operate the Studio One 3 at all. I was pretty good at cutting tape and mixing in the late 70s with a reel to reel and a crappy mixing console. Weird part about that track is I have 2 inputs going into the interface and only used 1 track in Audacity , must be because the mic'd amp is bleeding over from the amp with the direct out. Would have turned out better if I wasn't trying to do a million things while I was playing too , I have stuff all over the place and making any sort of adjustment on the fly is a real P.I.T.A.

The last time I did any recording, I went straight from the guitar into the recording interface and captured a dry signal. Then I fucked around with different dsp bullshit presets in Garage Band until I got sick of hearing myself play. It was fun and the end result met my low expectations/standards.

I think you got an excellent mix with good dynamics. Laying down the first track is 90% of the work...

Here is the 2 guitars I own that are finished completely. Loop is the Custom Tele through the HK 36 with Xotic SP and EP , Boss EQ 20 and Mxr Stereo Chorus. Lead is my '81 Les Paul Custom through the Fender Prosonic (both gains are on 3) SP and EP and I use the Super Klone at first then switch to the Kalamazoo when I go to the bridge pup. Random gibberish and still have about zero chops going after the 4 month layoff. No phrasing allowed ! The lead is a bit too loud this time around. https://soundcloud.com/keno-mazuer/gibberish

The monitors sound pretty great playing Steve Vai Liberty , was some noise when I used the RCA plugs but changed to actual 1/4" speaker cables and it seems to be better. Not going to be any earth shaking lows out of them but for a pair of cheap powered speakers they do the job required. Now I have to get new set of short speaker cables , not going to use a $50 cable for studio monitors.
