The Brett Favre Thread
For those of you keeping track at home that is 3 minutes of game play or 9 minutes on the bench for the Croc King

Unreal, they should have suspended him for the rest of the year. Sure he won't play anyway, but it'd be symbolic.

Or at the very least, say his fine was for violating the league conduct policy. Saying the fine was for not cooperating is a total cop-out. I like Goodell and his hard stance on discipline, but he needed to have a backbone with this one and didn't.

They mentioned on tv that his penalty was equal to a $130 fine for a person who makes $41,000 a year.

End of the line? Brett Favre says it is

Quote:“I know it’s time, and that’s OK. It is,” Favre said after the 20-13 loss. “Again, I hold no regrets, and I can’t think of too many players offhand that can walk away and say that. Individually and from a team standpoint, it was way more than I ever dreamed of.”

Hmm, I haven't heard this from him before

This time he really, really means it....until the Vikings send four guys down in a private jet to drag him back next Fall.

Brett Favre, Jets Reportedly Sued for Sexual Harassment

http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2011/01/03/brett...arassment/

Brett Favre is reportedly being sued for sexual harassment stemming from conduct toward at least two women who worked for the Jets in 2008, when Favre played for the team.

ABC News reported that Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole, former massage therapists for the Jets, have sued both Favre and the team, saying that Favre propositioned them.

Scavo says Favre treated her like a "hanging slab of meat" and requested a threesome with her and another therapist. Scavo says she turned Favre down and had her husband call him to demand an apology -- and that, after that, she was never again employed by the Jets.

According to the lawsuit, Favre allegedly sent an unidentified woman a text reading, "Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I'm all alone," and sent another message that said, "Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions."

O'Toole also says she lost her position as a Jets massage therapist as a result of Favre's sexual harassment.

The suit calls the Jets' locker room "a hot bed of sexual harassment, sexism and inappropriate behavior." Neither Favre nor the Jets has publicly responded.

The suit is not related to the accusations made by Jenn Sterger that Favre sent her inappropriate photos and text messages. Favre was recently fined $50,000 by the NFL for failure to cooperate in the league's investigation into Sterger's claims.

How large does Brett Favre’s shadow continue to linger over the NFL? Even in the 10th day of his third retirement in four years, news of an arrest of a member of his family has triggered 57 of you and counting to send us an e-mail with a link to the story.

Favre’s sister, Brandi has been arrested at a meth lab, according to WLOX. In the future, hopefully she’ll stick to huffing ammonia.

I was trying to find a picture of her and found this, obviously at least a few years old:

Favre's Sister Arrested: Has Been In Trouble With The Law Before

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/1999/11/1...2389.shtml

The sister and sister-in-law of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre are accused of stealing clothes from a department store.

Brandi Favre, Rhonda Doyle Favre and Julie Elizabeth Toups are free on bonds ranging from $5,000 to $2,500. All are charged with felony shoplifting.

"Her and two cohorts helped themselves to some clothes," Detective Capt. Rick Kirk said.

Brandi Favre, the quarterback's 23-year-old sister, lives in Green Bay, Wis. She and Toups, 17, of Diamondhead, Miss., were arrested Monday at Dillard's department store at Edgewater Mall. Rhonda Doyle Favre, 24, of Pass Christian, the sister-in-law, was arrested Tuesday.

A charge of shoplifting is considered a felony in Mississippi when the value of the merchandise exceeds $250. The maximum penalty is five years in prison.

Kirk said Wednesday a security guard at the store saw the three taking clothing and tried to stop them. However, one walked away while the guard was notifying police. Kirk said the guard had no idea two of the women were related to Brett Favre.

Brandi Favre's parents live in Kiln and have an unlisted telephone number.

In 1996, Brandi Favre was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection with a drive-by shooting at a motel in Slidell, La. At the time she was a student at Southern Mississippi, where Brett Favre played.

She completed a program in Louisiana that allowed her criminal charges to be erased.

Brandi Favre now does a segment for a weekly radio sports show in Wisconsin and takes questions from listeners. Jeff Schmidt, market manager for four Wisconsin radio stations, said she is not officially employed by the stations.
