Top prosecutors in Connecticut and South Carolina announced yesterday theyââ¬â¢re ready to drag down online sites that give sleazy sex services an advertising platform - and put escorts, masseuses and other workers in danger.
ââ¬ÅThe time for talking is over. Prosecution is the only thing some people understand,ââ¬Â South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster told the Herald.
He said if Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster doesnââ¬â¢t take down his erotic ads in South Carolina within 10 days, he faces prosecution related to obscenity and prostitution.
ââ¬ÅWe have a whole list of crimes, from little ones to big ones, ready to go,ââ¬Â McMaster said.
Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal announced yesterday they warned Craigslist to ââ¬Åquickly shut down the online brothelââ¬Â or face legal backlash.
