Always been a Pedro fan. The guy is a freak of nature, weighs about a buck fifty but throws like he weighs 220. Very intimidating on the mound.
Sadly for Philly, he is already on the 15 day DL with a mild shoulder strain. I really hope that this is not a view of things to come.
If he's on, he could be the difference between them making the post-season or going home early.

It was worth the shot, whether he pitches or not. $1M is pocket change for a league without a salary cap. If you get the old Pedro, great. If he does nothing, the team is out $1M.
The bad side would be is if signing Pedro stops them from getting another starting pitcher if he doesn't work out, which they need.
the Phils always have need a solid pitching staff.. I've been saying that for the past decade at least..

He will fit very nicely in their rotation... Now let's see if Halladay ends up in Boston.
A Red Sox - Phillies World Series would be awesome.

Hmmmm, I can't seem to find the national sports coverage of the Cubs fan throwing a full beer at Victorino last night as he was catching a fly ball.
I wonder how many times I would have seen it so far, on ESPN alone, had it happened in Philly.

I saw it about 5 times on ESPN today. And Colin Cowherd was JUST talking about it on ESPN radio 5 minutes ago. He was talking about this is why we find ourselves being moved further and further back from players, etc... He called the guy a bottom feeding mouth breather.

I just got an ESPN alert that Victorino has filed a complaint with the Chicago Police Dept against the fan who dumped the beer on him

Its fun being at work while the local team is playing because the prime time schedule is catering to the fucking NY market.
