So I am working on a column the 10 most underated guitar solos. I would love some input on this:
The first two that come to mind are Berton Averre from The Knack for My Sharonna

Brad Gillis\Jeff Watson from Nightranger for Dont Tell Me You Love Me.

i see you've listed 2 live performances....
i guess this will be your basis for comparison and not a solo comprised in a studio.
are you open to acts the improve the show, IE phish and the like? Jerry and the boys used to lay some shit down too.......
this will be a great feature

I just linked the live version because that is all they had on youtube. The Dead and Phish you think of guitar solos when you think of those bands.
NightRanger you think of pop metal, That guitar solo is true shredding. The Knack you never think of in terms of soloing but listen to the studio version of My Sharona it is the same solo.

Early Iron Maiden has some great dual lead solos...maybe that's just because I've been listening to that crap lately. I can narrow it down to a few songs if you'd like some recommendations.
I think alot of the stuff Jerry Cantrell did with Alice in Chains is really underrated.

I've always loved the solo to Ratt's Round and Round. Also, The dual lead on Heading Out To The Highway by Judas Priest.

I want to get even more obscure like Mick Ronson on the original version of Madman Across The Water (go to about the 6 minute mark that is where the solo starts) they never used this version on the record. BTW Mick ended up being David Bowie's ax man for years after that solo.

You can kick me in the bails for this later but some of the stuff Jennifer Batten did with Michael Jackson is pretty sick.
