Next time point to the front of your pants and tell her she can dig in your front pockets for the tip.

Never thought about tipping the trash guy before because I always lived in the city and it was a city service.
When I moved to NH I had to get my own service for my new house and the trash guys sucked. They would throw the barrels all over the place if the barrels were too heavy they would leave the trash ans put a sticker on it saying it was over 50 lbs.
My new house is much more rural and the trash guy is great, if the trash isn't in the driveway he waits for you to come running out with it. He will drag it out of the garage with me. He is polite and professional. I think he is getting a tip this Christmas or at least a bottle of Barleywine.

Should you be required by law to pay a gratuity if you don't think the restaurant's service was worth it? The police in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania think so, and they arrested two college students for refusing to pay a $16.35 tip over what they claim was poor service.
[INDENT]"You can't give us terrible, terrible service and expect a tip," said Pope, a 22-year-old Moravian College senior who's a Pottsville native, according to the Lehigh Valley Express-Times.
They had to find their own napkins and cutlery while their waitress caught a smoke, had to ask the bar for soda refills, and had to wait over an hour for salad and wings, they told NBC10.
The pub, which was very busy that night, took the $73, but then called the cops, who treated the matter as a theft.

That's fucked up. A tip shoudn't be expected, especially if the sevice is atrocious. I've not left tips if the service was horrible. On those occasions I spoke to the manager and told them I wasn't leaving a tip and explained why.

We were at a resort we had a time share at a few years back in Florida. We went for the breakfast buffet at the resort and it was horrible. Runny eggs and horrible service still I left a tip. We went back the second day for convenience and the service was worst. Keeping in mind they pretty much just need to bring you drinks and clear your plates at a buffet. They screwed up our drink orders and were so slow clearing plates we had to clear them ourselves. So I told the family I was going to stiff the wait staff. They were so embarrassed they waited in the car for me to pay the bill.
I'd stiff them the second time too.... If you continue to tip for shitty service the lesson is lost......
that reminds me, i need to ask the trash men what beer the like.....

I think I am going to hit mine off with a Dunkin Donuts gift card.
i'll have to catch them and see how many guys are on the truck...
i've left some big piles this year with the house renovations and they've taken it all, they've earned it IMO...

I was going to go with beer but I didn't know if the company had a gift or alcohol policy especially seeing the guy is driving. So I figured in this faggy PC a gift card the guy can slip in his pocket would be best.
