Out With the Old, In With The New
#1
Today was the last day of my job that I've had since retiring from the Navy 4 1/2 years ago. I was the Project Manager for a defense contractor working on a logistics contract that the government agency that we were working for decided not to renew. Fortunately, it was a layoff that I saw coming for a while so I had time to look for a new job.

On Monday, I start a new job with a new contractor. This time I will be tracking repair parts for the military. As sad as I am to close the last chapter of my life, because I truly loved my job, I am excited to start this new chapter.

Thanks. There's still always that feeling of apprehension when switching jobs. "The fear of the unknown" and all that.
