What did you watch this weekend?
#21
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Much darker than the previous movies. The whole thing just seemed like continuing action and not a move in and of itself.

Got caught up with some movies on cable I've watched a million times before also... Godfather I and II (it blows watching them on AMC with commercials and editing, but I can't turn them off once I stumble on them) The Doors, Jurassic Park.

We seem to be in a "Jurassic Park" loop in our house. One of the three movies seems to be on quite frequently as of late. For a while last summer we experienced the same thing with the "Godfather" Trilogy.

I wonder what's next: Maybe the "Back to the Future" Trilogy?

I wouldn't mind getting into the Robert Rodriguez "From Dusk Til Dawn" Trilogy or the "Desporado" Trilogy. Can't really go wrong with either of those.

I saw this with my wife and daughter. Wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped, especially with that cast. Kinda weird. The part with Fergie was the best part of the movie (Never thought I would ever say that about anything), although the part with Penélope Cruz singing was pretty hot too.

Watched Brooklyn's Finest last night. I don't know why this film was panned what a great cop flick. Ellen Barkin was great as was Gere, Snipes and the rest of the cast. There are a lot of big names in this film.

8/10

Hurt Locker - I'm not sure if it was the Oscar hype or just that war is such an insanely stupid idea, but this movie didn't work for me. It felt more important than Avatar or Up but still, meh.

If you look below I gave it a 6.5/10 and I was being generous. It didn't move me either there were a few good scenes like the sniper shooting at the contractors but outside of a few moments the film was pretty flat.

6.5 sounds about right. Best picture - not. Bonus points for taking out pretty boy Ralph Fiennes quickly - lol.

Alice in Wonderland - 7/10 We didn't get a great seat the so 3D affect was lacking.

Changeling - Saw this for the first time this weekend. Amongst all the reports about Angelina Jolie being batshit crazy, you forget how fucking great an actress she is.
