Been on an anime kick lately.
Recently watched the Inari Kon Kon, and Choas Head series (12 episodes each) and following Fairy Tale, HighSchool DxD and Blood Blockade Battlefront.
Fairy Tale is just plain goofy fun, HighSchool DxD is ecchi to the max and Blood Blockade Battlefront is right on the border of completely fucked up. It's almost as though David Cronenburg tried to create an anime like Attack on Titan.
That one is also a 12 episode series with only three more to go.
Also watched the Ai Yori Aoshi series.
It's highly rated but I had a hard time getting into it at first, (if I have doubts about a series I'll give it a few episodes before making my decision) but I wound up liking it due to the strength of the characters and story.
I watched the first episode of Sword Art Online, A World of Guns.
I liked the first series and was a little iffy about the second one after the first episode, so I talked to my son about it (my kids love anime as well, though my daughter is more into manga).
He said that it starts out strong but turns into a piece of crap quickly, so I din't bother looking for more episodes as we usually have similar taste in anime.
May re-watch the first series though.
If you haven't watched Attack on Titan yet, check it out.
Really well done.
