I quit 20 years ago next month, and I'm glad I did, considering the way the costs have gone up in the past few years.
This will kill you: I remember paying $4 a carton when we were out at sea, once we got into international waters.
Then I remember a whole summer (maybe '86 or '87), when I paid about $5 a carton for Salem Lights on a promotion they were running on military bases where they had a $4 coupon off your next carton, so only the very first one you bought was like, $9, then every carton after that was 5 bucks for the next 3 months until they ended the promotion.
