On Thursday, a group of Buddhists traveled to Gloucester and purchased 534 lobsters, about 600 pounds worth, from a wholesaler and dumped them back into the sea in a prayer ceremony in which the crustaceans’ bands were cut and blessed water was sprayed on them.

Freedom. But it may have been short-lived.

Yesterday, lobstermen from the fishing vessel Degelyse said they had traveled to the site of the ceremony, laid their traps, and hauled up exactly 534 lobsters, according to a local blog, Goodmorninggloucester.org.

And then they brought their haul right back to market.

“It’s really not meant as a slight toward Buddhism at all,’’ said Joe Ciaramitaro, who runs the blog that broke the story and co-owns Captain Joe and Sons Dock, where the boat and several others offload their catch. He also runs Captain Joe and Sons Wholesale Lobster Co. in Gloucester. “We’re just having fun.’’

QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — A Quincy woman is facing an assault charge for allegedly punching a restaurant worker for putting too many pickles on her steak and cheese sandwich, police said Monday.

Tina Drouin, 49, ordered the sub from Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs in the Quincy Center subway/commuter rail station at about 2 p.m. Saturday, according to MBTA police. Drouin started loudly complaining, used a profanity, and made other derogatory comments about the ratio of certain ingredients as the worker prepared the sandwich, police said.

Finally, she demanded a refund.

The worker refused.

That’s when Drouin allegedly punched the female worker in the face, and pushed over two large pickle jars, knocking the worker to the floor and shattering the jars, police said.

Drouin ran from the station with the worker in pursuit. The worker nabbed Drouin nearby outside city hall and held her until police arrived.

Aaron Hernandez Charged With Murder of Odin Lloyd[/url]

Quote:Former Patriots' star Aaron Hernandez has been charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd as well as five other gun-related charges. He is pleading not guilty. According to prosecutors, Odin Lloyd's body was found with multiple gun shot wounds, to his arms, side and chest. There is no indication that Lloyd's death was related to a robbery, the keys to the mysterious rental car that was registered to Hernandez were found on Lloyd's person.

Stick to catching footballs asshole, you suck at this.

On a funny note my wife got a new Patriots shirt with the murderer on it 4 days before this went down. She is not too thrilled.

Not only are the Patriots no longer selling Aaron Hernandez jerseys. They’re offering to take yours back if you bought one before he was arrested for murder.

The team announced they would exchange any Hernandez jerseys purchased from the team store or online for “a new Patriots jersey of comparable value.” The exchange policy has a number of provisions, and is only good during the weekend of July 6-7.
