Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are ââ¬Åvery confidentââ¬Â that they have a ââ¬Ågood chanceââ¬Â to sign soon-to-be free agent quarterback Peyton Manning.
This assumes Manning can pass medical exams, of course.
Per the Heraldââ¬Ës Armando Salguero, the Dolphinsââ¬â¢ front office has been discussing its impending pursuit of Manning with ââ¬Åthe Manning campââ¬Â for the past three weeks.
Appearing on NFL Network on Tuesday evening, Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post also confirmed the Dolphins will ââ¬Åabsolutelyââ¬Â go hard after Manning.

The Redskins are paying a hefty price to move into position to take Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.

If it is, it took long enough. And it certainly cost a lot. But if Griffin can solidify the quarterback position for the next decade and lift the Redskins out of their long funk, it undoubtedly will have been worth the price.
I'd say great move... if Shanahan wasn't the coach. That impatient bastard will bench him 10 times in his first 2 seasons.

Manning phoned the Dolphins personally on Thursday to tell them they have been removed from the running as potential suitors for his services, multiple sources told NFL.com's Jeff Darlington Friday.
While it has been widely believed over the last 24 hours that Manning would not sign with the Dolphins, neither side had formally removed themselves from the mix before Manning informed them on Thursday.
