To a few of the regulars reading this, this is a "backyard" story with our tax dollars probably going to clean up this atrocity and we know many people who went to the school. But what do you out-of-staters think about the Penn State scandal now that the facts are really starting to come out.

What do you think should happen to PSU and the football program as a result? The big question in the news here is about the JoePa statue on campus and what to do with it.

I think the football program should be suspended, I don't know for how long, but there should be some repurcussions in regards to the program.

The JoePa statue should be melted down and sold for scrap.

The debate over how long is a good one. Most people are saying a year, I'd go to 3 to 5. Long enough to give it a good cleansing and make people really want it back when the time comes. Some players and coaches would be getting fucked... but they'll survive. If it is an NCAA-sanctioned ban, they will make accommodations for the students.

Penn State won't take down Joe Paterno statue. They should at least move it to the library -- to remind people to KEEP QUIET at all times!
