Brett Favre is considering un-hanging it up... again
#71
They should just trade him, if he has such a strong desire to play it shouldn't matter where he plays.

Either that or hand him a clipboard, his ego wouldn't handle being a backup.

You know if they trade him and Aaron Rodger stinks up the place or gets hurt. There will be be riots in Wisconsin. All we need is a bunch of fat mid-western cheeseheads on the 6pm news.

The Packers reportedly offered him $20 million over the next ten years if he stays retired.

Shit, you guys offer me $20 and I'll stay away from here. LOL

I dont think they have to let him in the facility if he shows up

ESPNews reports that Brett Favre has chartered a plane to Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Whereas many teams travel, the Packers hold training camp in Green Bay and it appears as though Favre will be there on Friday. The Packers have Thursday off. We are expecting some sort of movement on this front shortly. Jul. 31 - 1:41 pm et

As of right now, there's no trip...the flight was cancelled. His reinstatement hasn't happened yet either.

The Packers are having a family night/inter-team scrimage on Sunday and I think they want to make sure he isn't there.

Two different conflicting reports tonight, one saying he accepted the offer to stay retired...the other saying he rebuffed the offer and is heading to training camp when he is reinstated (which is supposed to happen on Monday).

At least the Packers signed runningback Ryan Grant to a deal, it wasn't looking too promising for awhile.

Crap, he will be reinstated as of Noon Monday. They had Breaking News of him getting on a plane...give me a fucking break...that's news?

What a way to end a career.

So Speng, if the Packers do release him and he goes to a division rival, what will the reception be for him when he returns to Lambeau?

That's a hard call. He alienated and lost alot of fans with his whining and taking cheap shots at the management. There was a memorabilia auction over the weekend somwhere in WI and his stuff usually goes for pretty high amounts, there were three items that didn't get a single bid. I could see an equal amount of cheering for him and beer cups being hurled at him if he showed up in a Vikings or Bears uniform.

One could argue he was already playing as a Bear last year when he choked and lost both games to them.

The media coverage was stupid, they were tracking his plane using some website and the reception at the airport was like the freaking Pope arrived.
